onPoint Tactical Announces New Sniper Courses!

Vincentown, NJ - May 12, 2008 - onPoint Tactical today announced new Sniper courses as part of the Scout curriculum. These Scout elective courses are Sniper Field Craft I, Sniper Field Craft II, and Sniper Shooting Craft. “These are very high-quality, intense courses taught by a former special forces operator (Kent Alwood) who spent his life in covert field operations”, said Kevin Reeve, owner of onPoint Tactical, “You can’t find any better sniper instruction in the world”.

Sniper Field Craft I
Scout Curriculum: Elective
The focus of this class is on the camouflage skills that a sniper employs as he completes his mission. Students will learn ghillie suit construction, the proper use of natural camouflage, the advantages of digital camo, “sniper hide” construction, and many other camouflage related skills.

Sniper Field Craft II
Scout Curriculum: Elective
The focus of this class is on sniper movement, insertion, observation skills, range estimation, range maps, weather recording, counter-tracking and a host of other skills leading up to the shot, as well as extraction and “escape and evasion” after the shot.

Sniper Shooting Craft
Scout Curriculum: Elective
This class is focused strictly on shooting long-range targets. This includes ballistics, shooting form, trigger and breathing control, windage, distance estimation, hold-over, up and down hill shooting, and many other related long range shooting skills. It is an intense class with a heavy focus on shooting. A long-range rifle and optics are required. Please let us know your shooting platform prior to registration. No prior shooting experience is required.

onPoint Tactical Announces New Instructors

Vincentown, NJ - April 3, 2008 - onPoint Tactical today announced the addition of new instructors to the teaching staff: Kelly Alwood, Mike Krul, Cole Chandler, and Kent Alwood.

"These top notch instructors bring significant real-world, practical experience to onPoint Tactical. I know them, I trust them, and I believe that our students will learn a great deal from these fantastic teachers!" said Kevin Reeve, owner and lead instructor at onPoint Tactical.

Kelly Alwood has several years of experience as a contractor, recently spending two years in Iraq. He ran a contracting firm in Iraq, and ran a special protection detail for General Petreus (Commander, 101st Airborne Div.) while he was near Mosul. He worked with 5th group Special Forces in Baghdad on counter terrorism operations, both undercover and overt. He assisted surveillance operations for R.E.F.(5SFG). He operated with sniper teams of the 1st Cav. in Camp Victory. He operated with Naval Special Warfare units in Baghdad. Kelly has trained in martial and military skills his entire life. He is a sniper instructor for the Air Force, has over 300 felony arrests in the United States and Mexico as a bail enforcement officer. He has done work for the US Secret Service and the FBI to track down some of Americas most wanted. He has appeared numerous times on 60 Minutes and Dateline for his tracking skills. Mike Krul has been an avid outdoorsman his whole life. He has spent thousands of hours tracking animals and surviving in the outdoors in many environments and conditions. Hunting and taking game in the woods requires some of the keenest skills of camouflage, concealment and movement. He has applied these skills not only to the outdoors, but to law enforcement as well. Mike has over 20 years of group and private instruction in many skill sets. Mike's specialties are self-defense, wilderness survival, hunting, and the scout skills. He has trained diverse groups of students over the years: private citizens, law enforcement, corrections, tactical teams, security personnel, and firefighters. Cole Chandler served with the US Army for 7 years where he saw multiple deployments to the Middle East and Europe. After returning to a civilian status he has devoted himself to the security profession in the private and Law Enforcement sectors. He has served as a tactical operations officer and trainer for law enforcement agency, and assisted with tactical and investigative operations involving Local Law Enforcement, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and US Border Patrol. Cole has worked Convoy Protection & PSD operations in the Middle East, continental United States, as well as Central and South America since 1996. Kent Alwood is a legend in the Special Forces community. Kent brings a lifetime of experience from over 40 years of military service, including three tours in Viet Nam in 5th Group Special Forces, deployment to dozens of other countries around the world, and an additional tour in Iraq operating a DOD contracting company. His combat experience gives him an outstanding breadth of knowledge in counter-insurgency and anti- and counter-terrorist operations. He is also expert in the use of many weapons, improvised weapons, and survival, escape and evasion. He has run Personal Security Details in high risk environments, and has served in too many countries to list here. His wisdom and understanding of high-risk environments gives him a unique voice in onPoint Tactical's courses.

onPoint Tactical Announces Course Certifications

Vincentown, NJ - March 5, 2008 - onPoint Tactical today announced certification exams for their Scout, Tracker, and Wilderness Survival course curriculum.

onPoint Tactical’s new course curriculum for the Scout, Tracker, and Wilderness Survival tracks consists of both core and elective courses designed to prepare students for their first field certification exam. Completion of both core and elective coursework is required to schedule a certification exam with onPoint. Certification exams are conducted in practical real-world settings, and the exams are pass/fail. Re-testing is allowed within one month.

"These certification exams help our students demonstrate that they've completed a significant body of training, and that they've mastered critical skill sets that may be required by employers in the field," said Kevin Reeve, owner of onPoint Tactical.

Successful completion of the basic certification exam qualifies students to register for onPoint Tactical’s advanced level courses. Upon completion of all advanced coursework, students may then schedule an advanced certification exam. Future onPoint Tactical instructors will be drawn from those extremely dedicated students who successfully complete advanced onPoint Tactical certification exams.

onPoint Tactical Announces New 2008 Training Course Pricing

Vincentown, NJ - February 4, 2008 - onPoint Tactical today announced training course pricing for 2008. Starting in February, training courses will be priced as follows:

3 day training courses - early registration: $550
3 day training courses - late registration (within 2 weeks of course date): $595

Existing Student (those who have taken a class) can receive a loyal student discount upon request. Special pricing is also available for military units and law enforcement teams who wish to: a) enroll as a group for multiple courses, or b) develop customized training relevant to a specific need.
