From time to time onPoint Tactical LLC will film students demonstrating key skills from various onPoint Tactical training courses. These short video clips are designed to help students remember and review their training. onPoint Tactical recommends that individuals take a formal training course before attempting to "train themselves" via a video clip. Often there are additional points of instruction that don't appear in the video clip which may be critical to the execution of the demonstrated skill or technique.

Here head instructor Kevin Reeve demonstrates how to build a "bow trap". This trap uses cordage, a trigger mechanism made from sticks, and a hand-made bow assembled from resources found in the field. This is one of many traps that are taught by onPoint Tactical LLC instructors. To learn more about quickly assembling effective and deadly traps in the field, sign up for one of onPoint Tactical's Tracking or Scout courses.

Trapping skills are also part of the core Scout certification exam.

Here instructor Kelly Alwood demonstrates the use of effective camouflage. Effective camouflage is an essential Scout skill, and onPoint Tactical LLC will teach you not only how to apply camouflage in various environments, but also how to find or manufacture camouflage (in an escape and evasion situation) when commercial camouflage isn't readily available.

Properly applying and using camouflage, plus the ability to avoid detection, are part of the core Scout certification exam.
