I have a new recipe, salted pork and white beans. I have never used salted pork or tried it. cooking it now. anyone else usee it?

so i posted this because i have never salted anything to store it that i recall and have not really eaten a salted fish or pork> Iam totally impressed. if you take the salt off by boiling it tastes great, looks normal and cooks up well without a smoky taste. beans and pork turned out great.
I also read here just recently in an herbal periodical how diverse every kind of bean is and how much they differ. the author encourage a diversity of beans in the diet. I guess that goes for the preppers storage as well. I have some lentils and lots of brown beans, but I am looking to add a bunch of varieties for soups, flour etc. whats mexican in a post teotwaki world without black beans right?
