5/22/2012 12:51:03 PM Return of adventure - very cool play structure.
I want one. A modern problem is that a fear of lawsuits has made play structures less and less compelling, so more often than not, all but the youngest kids, don't even bother. But build an exciting structure, and they will come.

thats cool, i always wanted to build some sort of ninja obstacle course if i ever bought some land, something i could play on and practice skills/train on at the same time. with balance beams, climbing ropes, platforms in the air to jump from. with hitting bags and outdoor gym. ya that would be sweet - and keep tabs on the bird language at the same time.

That is really cool!
I've seen outdoor ones that have all sorts of different stations, similar to this one but with punching equipment too:

I couldn't find any links to the other ones...

We have a similar one near where I live. I took my family to it. So many kids just stared at it. My daughter went right up to it and started playing. Once she was to the top other kids started to go on it, but lots of parents were scared of it. I hope they keep it, nice to give kids something like this in a safe zone to play on. Nothing wrong with giving kids a chance to exercise many different skills at one time. I know that it requires problem solving, agility, strength and endurance to name a few.
